====== Clementoni Clempad Tips and Tricks ====== Here is described some tips and tricks to improve your Clempad Plus. ===== How to install Google Apps in my Clempad ===== The Clempad does not have any Google applications, neither access to Google Market (GooglePlay). In order to have the Google functionalities in need to access and install some system applications. First you need to get the Android **//adb//** tool. If you use Linux you can get it and install the Android SDK [[http://dl.google.com/android/android-sdk_r22.3-linux.tgz|here]], extract in a folder and add the //android-sdk-linux/platform-tools/// it to your path. If you use windows just download the following pack {{:wiki:android:clempad:drivers-allwinnera10-64bits.zip|here}}. Then connect your Clempad to you computer using the miniUSB cable. On a command line run: adb devices You should see your device like: List of devices attached 43Fsd423 mydevice If you dont see your device follow the instrutions in this [[wiki:android:development:adb_linux#my_android_device_does_not_appear_in_adb_devices|article]], the Clempad idVendor is 0x2207. Now you need the basic apk files for Google Apps, you can get it from {{:wiki:android:clempad:googleapk.4.1.1.zip|here}} for the Clempad with the Android 4.1.1 version, if your tablet as a diferent version of Android you need to download the correct files from [[http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps|CyanogenMod]]. Cyanogenmod 10.1 - Android 4.2 Cyanogenmod 10.2 - Android 4.3 Cyanogenmod 11 - Android 4.4 Unzip it in your computer. Now from a command line you need to mount the Android system of your device as RW and push the packages: adb shell busybox mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/nandd /system adb push GoogleBackupTransport.apk /system/app/ adb push GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk /system/app/ adb push GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk /system/app/ adb push GoogleFeedback.apk /system/app/ adb push GoogleLoginService.apk /system/app/ adb push GooglePartnerSetup.apk /system/app/ adb push GoogleServicesFramework.apk /system/app/ adb push MediaUploader.apk /system/app/ adb push SetupWizard.apk /system/app/ adb push GooglePlay.apk /system/app/ adb push Talk.apk /system/app/ adb shell busybox mount -o remount,ro /dev/block/nandd /system These are the minimum packages to get Google Accounts, GooglePlay and Google Backup to work. Then reboot your device and you can now go to the Google Play market and add other packages.
